AMERICAN CAMELLIA SOCIETY  LEADERSHIP APPLICATION 2008

Leadership in the American Camellia Society is open to all members in good standing.  Please fill out the application below indicating the position(s) in which you are interested.  All applications will be considered by the ACS Board Development Committee which qualifies and slates candidates for the positions to be filled.

The following positions are open in 2008 with terms beginning January 1, 2009.  Please rank-order (#1 is your most preferred) all positions for which you are willing to be considered.  Information about the duties, responsibilities, and term length of each position is available on line under the “Governance” link  or click the following:   http://www.camellias-acs.org/governance/default.asp

Note: Any ACS member wishing to nominate another member for any opening may submit a letter of nomination by e-mail to the Board Development Chairman. However, to be considered, the nominee must complete and submit an application prior to the application deadline.
 
INSTRUCTIONS
 
A completed application must be submitted to ACS by July 15th, 2008.  Fill in and click the submit button on the bottom of this form to send a copy by email to the Board Development Committee.
 
Note:  The committee will review and qualify all applications before they are included on a state or regional ballot or submitted to the ACS Board as set forth in the ACS Bylaws, which are available on the ACS website under “Governance.”

Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.
 
A candidate is responsible for ensuring the completed application is received by the deadline.  Please keep a copy of your application and supporting information for your files.  You should receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your application within one week of delivery.  If you do not receive confirmation, please contact the Chairperson at the telephone numbers listed below before the deadline.
